VIEWSAVER

Viewsaver saves the lost view of the Acropolis.

The suggestion is about a corrective mechanism, rather than a cover up. The small addition building is located in the garden of the Acropolis Museum and is used as screening room that reconstructs the view of the Acropolis through the use of basic principles of optics.

The mechanism works as a “camera obscura” and it is an public event that completes the urban reference of the museum’s entrance. At the same time the building is a stand-alone object that creates a connection between different scales.
